David Wever is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North
Carolina (#7370) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
(MFC39900) in the state of California. He has a Masters of Arts in
Counseling Psychology (1999) from Trinity International University in
Deerfield, Illinois. His area of special interest and experience is
working with individuals who have struggles with compulsive sexual
behavior, including sexual addiction and sexual betrayal. He specializes in helping couples rebuild trust after a partner’s sexual betrayal. He also has special interest and experience in marriage
issues, mood disorders and sexual trauma. His overall professional counseling experience includes working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents, chemically dependent individuals and their families, the dually diagnosed, the Christian community, as well as the geriatric population. He has been a counselor for 11 years and has over 15,000 hours of professional therapy in private practice. He is a former professor of human sexuality, substance abuse and marriage and contemporary issues at Western Seminary in Sacramento, CA. David has been a national speaker and counselor at over 175 conferences and seminars focusing on sexual addiction and sexual betrayal, including the Every Man's Battle workshops hosted by New Life Ministries.
